NEW SONG!!!!!…hummingbird

Happy Wednesday!

We posted another song from The Summer EP called HUMMINGBIRD exclusively on our Purevolume page.

You can download the song TOTALLY FREEEEEEEEE there until Monday. We’ll then post the song right here on the good ol’ myspace page.

The Little Tiny Tour starts in a few days, 4 days of fun in the sun and then a few weeks off. We’ll also be announcing a really amazing tour next week with some new friends of NSN. It has to be a secret for a few more days, but I pinky swear it’s a great tour that’ll take us to most of the U.S. and to most of YOU.

Anyone at Bamboozle may have noticed we now have giant NSN foam hands! (If your dad ever took you to any type of sporting event you probably scored one of them). We’ll have them on the road with us and they also should be up in our MERCHNOW store by Friday.

BIG THANKS to everyone who came out to the BAMBOOZLE ROAD SHOW. We made a lot of new friends and we will have some video + photo from the tour up super duper soon.

That’s it for now. THE SUMMER EP is out JUNE 23rd, new tour in JUNE + JULY and we’re going to making a full length soon to come out in the fall. We also just did a lil’ video interview for the MTV buzzworthy thing, not sure when that is up, but we’ll let ya know.

That’s so funny that he did an interview for MTV Buzzworthy. I totally sent them an e-mail that they should do more stuff with Chris. I never got a reply or anything, so i don’t know if anyone even read it, but I just found that interesting. Haha. So what do you guys think of “Hummingbird”?

New tiny tour!…fun facts about The Summer EP

FUN FACTS ABOUT THE SUMMER EP

-All the songs were recorded in June at Phantom Tollbooth Studios in lovely Long Beach, CA by Mr. Forrest Kline.

-Every little bit of artwork for the CD was done by a real deal 4 year old. She
did an amazing job and was also very affordable! (I think she was paid in candy)

-The packaging for CD comes from recycled materials. A TON of cds end up in landfills, so we’re trying to be a little green.

-IT WILL BE RELEASED IN JUNE!!!!! yip!

THE LITTLE TINY TOUR

In May, we are going to do what may be the shortest tour of all time…The Little Tiny Tour will run from May 14-17. Never Shout will be bringing the amazing Carter Hulsey with us again on this run. All the dates for this are up now and tickets should be on sale now or super soon. These are all really small venues, so please be sure to snag tickets early so you can come hang out.

We’ll be putting up another song from The Summer EP in less than 2 weeks, so please keep checking back. It’s called Hummingbird.

The Real Me (pt. 4)

Dear party people,

You asked me a lot of questions. I picked a couple. Now, I am going to completely open up. Enjoy.

Some people say you are an asshole! Are you as sweet in person?

I try my best to always be positive to everyone I meet. Sometimes if I am having a rough day; I don’t really like to talk as much. I may come off as an asshole in that situation, but you have to remember that I have a life outside of music. I have family, friendship, and relationship problems all the time. We all know those kind of days. So, to answer the question; No, I am not always the sweetest person in the world, but I try my hardest to always stay positive. I am only human :) Regardless of how my day is; remember that I really do love and appreciate you (no matter who you are)

Where do you live when you are home?

Whenever I live at home (which is a rare occurrence) I have an apartment with my buddy Carter!

How tall are you?

I am 5 ‘11

Ever smoked weed?

Honestly, I had my first marijuana experience right as I started NSN. I got way more involved for a while. Lately, I have chilled out a lot. I will have the occasional social smoke though. I am actually into the legalization aspect more then the smoking aspect. How do you guys feel about the legalization of marijuana?

In no way do I want to influence or promote you to smoke. With smoking comes a lot of responsibility that some people can’t handle. I do not recommend smoking until you are done high school (at least)

What’s up with your hair?

First off, my hair is naturally brown. Also, so many people ask me how I get my hair the way I do. Honestly, I usually just wake up, brush my hair, and then I’m done. Sounds silly; but so true.

I hope that my blog cleared up anything that you were wondering. I hope I didn’t offend anyone with any of my answers. I just have to be honest with you guys.

I love you so much. Without you I wouldn’t be able to do what I love.

Losing it.

Hello friends, enemies, and strangers!
It has been ages since I have let you into my life.
So here’s what been going on.

I just got off my first headlining tour! I have to say it was incredible. Everyone was so supportive and loving. (thanks) Now I am back home until early tuesday morning. I have been relaxing and eating a lot; mmm. I got back some of the mixes that were for the record! I am super pumped on some of them but…I feel like I could do so much better on a handful of them as well. So, here is what we are going to do…We are going to put out a summer EP which will have six songs on it. It will be out in mid-June! Whoop.

Also, I am going to put up “Losing it” for free download next week! Here is a little background on the song.

Once up a time…when I was sixteen years old I dated a girl. She was beautiful and very experienced. I was in love about a week and a half into it. Although I had never been in love I was certain. The months rolled on and we grew closer and closer. We shared so many memories and laughs. I had never gotten past first base with a girl before…although; I found myself diving deeper and deeper into the sexual world. Therefore, I grew more attached. About 9 months had past. We had spent so many amazing nights together, told each-other everything to know, and I had lost my virginity to her shortly after the ninth month. I was absolutely certain that I wanted to spend forever in this love trance. But a rude awakening snapped me out of it. One of my closest friends told me that she had slept with one of my “pals” from the tennis team in the last week. I was in disbelief until my “pal” confessed that it was fact. As the days rolled on I found out the truth. She had slept with over 10 people during our relationship. I was mortified and heart-broken for the longest time. From that day forward I wanted to write songs to bring people joy. To help people that were as miserable as I was.
The end.

It was a time in my life that I tried to overlook. I had never written a song about that stage; because I tried to forget. “Losing it” is about that point in my journey. It will be up for free download next week.

Chris posted a new blog with some interestingggg information!

Tour is over….for about 30 seconds. The LET’S GET HAPPY TOUR was amazing. Made a ton of new friends and hopefully everyone who came had fun?…yes? no? We’re home in good ol’ Joplin, MO now until Tuesday when we head out on the Bamboozle Road Show. If you want tickets to that tour there is a lil’ banner ad somewhere on this myspace page.

We also have 2 headlining shows on the way out in Oklaaahhhomaahh​h City, OK and Temp, AZ (The Tempe show has been switched to a place called The Clubhouse). These are coming up super duper fast so please snag tickets to those if you wanna come out.

Also, at Bamboozle Left and the one in NJ we’ll be doing signings and other fun stuff, so please come say HIIIIIIIIIIIIII​I.​

After Bamboozle we’ll be recording for a bit, doing another tour (which we can’t announce just yet :( ), a week on Warped, and then heading to JAPAN for 3 days to play Summer Sonic Fest (which Linkin Park is also playing?!) Also, we are playing a benefit show on May 16th for Invisible Children, which is an awesome organization you should all check out. I’ll put all the information on that show up in a few days.

We’ll have a new song called Hummingbird out on Itunes in May and some more new jams a bit later in the summer.

We’ve added some new merch to the store, including a huge/​silly/​awesome black and white poster.

PLEASE HELP!…MTVU Freshmen voting.

Hey guys!

So we just found out (about 3 minutes ago!) that BigCityDreams is up for voting on the MTVU Freshmen 5 contest. Basically, if we get the most votes they’ll add the video to rotation on MTVU, which would be a huge deal, especially for a band with no record label and no money! haha..NSN is fueled just be awesome fans and friends.

So, if you have a chance, it would mean a lot if you can go and vote for the video (You can vote as many times as you want, so if you are bored or waiting for your toe nails to dry, you can vote 1,000,000,000 times and I won’t be mad!).
